Osaka Prefecture was designated as an area that must prioritize halting the spread of infection set to be in place from the 4th of April (Monday) to the 5th of May (Wednesday). The regulations set by this were in place from the 5th of April but on the 7th of April Osaka Prefecture declared a medical emergency.

*Minoh residents should continue to take actions to avoid infection, such as covering your mouth/nose when coughing/sneezing, and carefully washing your hands.
*In order to not be misled by unreliable information, please act calmly and follow the information provided by the City, prefectural and national governments.
Inquiries
On the 15th July 2020 a Minoh City Office staff member was confirmed as having been infected with Covid-19. The health center judged 5 other staff as being close contacts. On the same day, following the instructions of the health center, measures to prevent the spread of infection such as sterilization etc. were taken and then work resumed. Currently, the person who contracted Covid-19 has been released from hospital and all of the close contacts had PCR tests which were negative.
On the 8th of December 2020 a Minoh City Office staff member was confirmed as having been infected with Covid-19. Following the instructions of the health center 2 other staff members were judged as being close contacts. The person was infected does not have contact with citizens as part of their work duties. Following the directions of the health center measures to prevent the spread of infections such as sterilization etc. were carried out. The person who was infected has since recovered and both close contacts had PCR tests which were negative.
On the 3rd of April 2021 a city staff member was confirmed as having been infected with Covid-19. After returning home on the 2nd of April (Friday) they had a fever. They went to the hospital to get tested on Saturday the 4th of April and on the same day it was confirmed that they were infected. The office area they worked in has been sterilized as of the Saturday and is operating as usual. There are no other staff members who have been designated as close contacts.

On the 14th of September 2020 a Minoh City public school teacher was confirmed as
having been infected with Covid-19 (coronavirus).
The school closed temporarily on the 15th and 16th of September and following the instructions of the health center relevant areas were sterilized. The school reopened on the 17th. The results of the PCR tests of close contacts were all negative.
Right-Pia 21
On the 11th of April 2021 a person who used Right-Pia 21 was diagnosed with COVID-19 (coronavirus). The facility has already sterilized the necessary areas and resumed work. The health center is following up close contacts. They will continue to take measures against infection.
Green Hall
On the 7th of April 2021 a person who used Greenhall was diagnosed with COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The facility has already sterilized the necessary areas and resumed work. The health center is following up close contacts. They will continue to take measures against infection.
Humans Plaza
On the 6th of April 2021 a person who used Humans Plaza was diagnosed with COVID-19 (coronavirus).
The facility has already sterilized the necessary areas and resumed work. The health center is following up close contacts. They will continue to take measures against infection.

Inquiries
First, contact your usual doctor. The process has changed so you should contact your usual doctor or a medical facility close by. At night or on days that your usual doctor is closed please consult the COVID-19 Test and Consultation Center.( External link )
If you have any of the symptoms below, get a consultation as soon as possible. (You can get a consultation even if you do not have these symptoms.)
・If you have any symptoms such as shortness of breath (difficulty breathing), feelings of weariness (fatigue), or a high fever.
・If you are at higher risk* and have relatively light cold-like symptoms, such as fever or a cough.
*Those who are at a higher risk are those who are elderly, those who have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, heart problems or respiratory illnesses (such as COPD), those who are on dialysis, and those who are on immunosuppressants or anticancer drugs.
・If you do not meet the above, but you have continuing relatively light cold-like symptoms, such as a fever or cough. (You must undergo a consultation if you have had symptoms for 4 days or longer. Symptoms differ from person to person, so if you think that you have strong symptoms get a consultation as soon as possible. This is the same for those who must take fever reducing medicine.)
Pregnant women
If you are pregnant and high risk (the second point above) please call your usual doctor quickly for peace of mind.
Those who have children
It is advised for children to be seen by a pediatrician, so when consulting please contact the Call Center for Returnees and Potential Contacts.

If you have any worries, or you are stressed etc. about the Covid-19 (coronavirus) you can consult someone and be answered through LINE (message chat).
This contact confirming app (on the condition that you consent) uses Bluetooth and will alert you if there is a possibilty of you having been in close contact with someone who has contracted COVID-19 (protecting both of your privacy) so that the user can have an examination etc. and receive support from a health center. User of this app increasing is connected to halting the spread of COVID-19.

Due to a special measures law there has been a request for businesses to shorten their hours and display the 'infection prevention stickers'. An Osaka call center has been established to answer questions from prefectural residents or business operators.
Dicrimination against and misinformation about those who have contracted Covid-19 or health care professionals and their families is unnacceptable. Get accurate information from official institutions, behave calmly and let's do away with discrimination and prejudice regarding Covid-19. For more details please check this page.
Currently there is a lot of information spreading online regarding the coronavirus, but this includes false information. Please stay calm and gather information from official sources, such as the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare or Osaka Prefecture.
In order to decrease the burden on household finances and also support shops that have been suffering decreased sales, all households will be sent Minoh Shopping Discount Tickets (worth \2,000 per person) at the end of July. (No application necessary.)

Support for households with children
Minoh City will give \10,000 per child to all households with children aged between 0-18 years old, as due to school closures and the slowdown in business activities, etc., households with children may be experiencing an increased burden. (For the months of May and June.)

Support for people with disabilities
Taking into consideration that working environments are becoming stricter, and that staying at home can result in increased responsibility, each person aged between 19-64 who owns a handbook (Handbook for People with Physical Disabilities, Handbook for People with Intellectual Disabilities, Health and Welfare Handbook for People with Mental Disorders) will receive \10,000 (for the months of May and July).

Public facilities closed for use
Since 1st June, some city run events have seen held, while taking actions to prevent infection (such as limiting the number of participants, etc.).
Due to the spread of the coronavirus, all Minoh City run events were cancelled but from the 1st of June are being held with smaller number and Covid-19 precautions.

In order to prevent spread of the coronavirus, please post your moving out notification to the City Office instead of coming in person.
For those who are moving into Minoh City, you must come to the City Office in person as we need to verify your identity. Usually this must be done within 14 days of moving into the city, however if you are avoiding coming to the City Office during busy periods in order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, and your moving notification is handed in late, it will be treated as if it was handed in on time.

After we have received the mailed items listed below, we will send you a Certificate of Moving Out in your self addressed stamped envelope.
If you are enrolled in National Health Insurance, receive the Child Allowance, or are qualified for long-term care, please be aware that there are additional moving out procedures for each.
If you have a My Number card, please be aware that after handing in your Moving Out Notification you must complete moving in procedures elsewhere, or your My Number card will automatically expire 60 days after the date of moving written on your application form.
