自己紹介

Kia Ora! Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Minoh City's CIR from New Zealand, Bella! Since the beginning of August 2017, I've been working at Minoh City Office in the Cultural and International Affairs Division, part of the Culture and Human Rights Department. In my job as a CIR, I pretty much work with any international relations regarding Minoh City. To be more detailed, that means I work with the Sister City relationship with Hutt City in New Zealand, translation and interpreting, and helping out with events from time to time. I work with Minoh's New Zealand Sister City, Hutt City, but I'm actually from the city right next to it, Wellington. Wellington is famous for being the capital of New Zealand, and the windiest city in the world!

My first encounter with Japan was when I was a high school student, when my family hosted Japanese exchange students. I became good friends with them, and became interested in learning Japanese. At university I majored in Japanese, and was lucky enough to spend 2015 on an exchange to a university in Tokyo. I had such a good experience, I knew I wanted to return to Japan. Even before I started learning Japanese, I have always been interested in languages. I studied linguistics at university, and other than Japanese also studied some Korean and Spanish. Unfortunately, I can't remember much more than simple sentences.

I think Minoh City is a fantastic place. It has everything you need: gorgeous nature, the convenience of a big city, beautiful streets. Since I've moved here I've had so many amazing experiences. I have been to Minoh's famous waterfall, festivals, Katsuo-ji Temple, tea ceremonies, played traditional Japanese instruments, and even done meditation at a temple. My next goal is to meet the city mascot, Yuzuru!

Outside of work, I love to eat sweet things, so if you happen to see me at one of Minoh's cafes, come say hi!

Kia Ora!（キアオラ）はじめまして！私は箕面市のニュージーランド出身の国際交流員、ベラです！29年8月のはじめから箕面市役所人権文化部文化国際室で勤めています。国際交流員という役割で、箕面市の国際関係についての業務をしています。詳しく説明すると、それはニュージーランドのハット市との姉妹都市関係や翻訳・通訳、イベントなどの業務です。姉妹都市のハット市について業務をやっていますが、実は私はハット市出身ではなく、ハット市の隣のウェリントン市出身です。ウェリントン市はニュージーランドの首都で、世界一風が強い都市です！

日本との初めてのふれあいは高校生時代に私の家族が日本人留学生を受け入れたときです。友たちになって、日本語を勉強するきっかけになりました。大学で日本語を専攻して、2015年に1年間東京に留学をしました。素晴らしい経験で、絶対日本に戻りたいと思いました。日本語の勉強以前から、私はずっと言語について興味を持っていました。大学で言語学を副専攻して、日本語以外、スペイン語も韓国語も少し勉強しました。残念ながら、もう挨拶しか覚えていません。

箕面市は本当に素晴らしい場所だと思います。美しい自然も、便利さも、綺麗な道も、なんでもある都市です。ここに引っ越してから、いろにろなすてきな体験ができました。箕面大滝をはじめ、勝尾寺、祭り、茶道、琴、瞑想まで体験できました。次の目的は滝ノ道ゆずるに会うことです！

仕事以外、私は甘い物が大好きなので箕面のカフェで見かければぜひ声をかけてください！
