The submission period for municipal and prefectural tax statements has been extended to the 15th of April (Thursday). Please submit your tax statements via mail in order to stop the spread of Covid-19. Please check this link for more detailed instructions. (You can download the tax statement forms.)
You can still submit your statement in person but it may be quite crowded.
Please include copies (or present them in person if you choose to come to the City Office to file your statement) of your My Number Card or notification slip and something that can prove your identity (such as a drivers license etc. that has your face on it), if you do not have these then 2 of the following will be accepted instead (health insurance card, pension card etc.).

Due to the effect of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic single parents who raise a child/children and work will receive a temporary special cash payment for single parent households.
For those who have already received the first payment as of the 11th of December 2020, (50,000yen per household, 30,000yen for the second child up). The money for the second payment was transferred on Monday the 28th of December.

Since April, health checkups for babies and young children were postponed. However, 4 month old, 1 and a half years old, and 3 and a half years old health checkups have all resumed, while keeping in mind prevention of infection. Those who have lost their housing, or have a high chance of losing their housing, are eligible for a payment equivalent to their rent amount (there is an upper limit). The payment is for a set period of time, and will be paid to the owner of the housing.
